Our 7 Day Mayan Triangle Tour will take you through a brief tour of some important Mayan sites and also experience some of the Spanish colonial towns
Day 1. Arrival In GuatemalaArrive into Guatemala City at (time to be confirmed), where our driver will be there to greet you and transfer air conditioned mini van (1hr drive approx.) directly to your lovely charm hotel in Antigua Spend an afternoon/evening enjoying this magical colonial town. Walk its romantic cobble stone streets and enjoy fine cuisine at one of the many excellent gourmet restaurants in the area.
Day 2. Antigua, Guatemala
Breakfast, Take a private 3 hour guided walking tour of La Antigua, with an expert guide who will share with you the many wonders of this city, once the third most important Spanish colony in the Americas & home to more than 30 monastic orders, stunning monasteries, convents and cathedrals from the Spanish colonial days. Time for Lunch, In the afternoon you will be free to further explore Antigua.
Day 3. Antigua, Guatemala – El Salvador
Breakfast, This morning we arise early for breakfast ready for our 08:00 departure to El Salvador. We will arrive in El Tunco (3hr drive approx) where you will be met by one of our representatives who will take you to Akwamar Adventure Club for lunch. Perched atop the volcanic cliff top or El Sunzal, Akwamar offers breathtaking views to a Pacific Ocean horizon.

Day 4. Joya de Cerén and Santa Ana
Breakfast. This morning we will visit the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site of Joya de Cerén. An archeological site known as the Mayan Pompey. A city buried by volcanic ash that has preserved the city, the buildings and even food. We will depart to Santa Ana, the second most important city of the country. We will take a tour through the National Theater, its beautiful plaza and gothic cathedral. Lunch will be in Santa Ana. This afternoon we will be participate in an indigo workshop at the Casablanca site. Indigo has played a very important role within El Salvador through the centuries.

Day 5. El Salvador – Copán
Breakfast. This morning we will join the great Pan-American Highway towards Honduras and our final destination, Copán. We will arrive directly at the Copán Archeological Site where our expert guide will escort us around this beautiful Mayan City with its magnificently sculpted stellas, the Mayan steps with glyphs, the Copán tunnels and Ball Court. We will have lunch at the site and the visit the Mayan Museum with the amazing replica Mayan alter. In the afternoon we will head toward the town of Copán to check into our room and you will have time to explore this pretty little town.
Day 6. Copán – Quiriguá – Guatemala City
Breakfast. Today we have an early departure as we head toward the Quiriguá archeological site located along the Motagua River. The site is famous for having the tallest Mayan Stella anywhere in the Mayan world. The tallest standing at an impressive 10.6 meter hight. As well the Mayan Stella you will see amazing zoomorphic figures dating from the classic Mayan period. From here we will make our way back to Guatemala City.

Day 7. Guatemala
Breakfast. Depending on your return flight home we will either transfer you to the airport or, if you have a later flight, we can arrange an optional city tour.
